List of Top 10 Search Engine in the World You Must Know in 2019

Alright  So, yesterday ( 21st Feb 2019) I was taking my
Digital Marketing Class and one of my students asked about the “Top 10 Best Search Engines in the World“.

So, I decided to share this information with you all the people 

Alright, Let’s start with the term “Search Engine” 

What is Search Engine?

-> Search Engine is a special software program.

-> The search engine searches the information required by the user with an unlimited row of information available on the Internet.

-> Search Engine does its search with a specific keyword or phrase and displays results related to this Keyword or Phrase in the listings, which are called Search Engine Result Page (SERPs).

What is the Search Engine Result Page (SERP)?

-> Search Engine Result Page finds different types of information related to queries being searched by users.

-> It includes Text Documents, Media Files (Images, Videos, Audio, Animations), etc. Based on the information searched by a Search Engine user, it shows the best information first.

-> After this, the sequence continues continuously. You search millions of Crores Result for Search Query.

Now lets back to topic.

List of Top 10 Search Engines in The World

1. GOOGLE

-> Google Search Engine is the most commonly used Web Search. It is the Best Search engine in the world.

-> Google was launched in 1997.

-> Google’s Founder has two college friends Mr. Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

-> Almost 70 to 75 percent of the Search Engine market has been acquired by Google.

2. Bing

-> Bing is the second most popular search engine in the world.

-> Bing has been created by Microsoft.

-> Bing Search Engine was launched in 2009.

-> Founder & CEO of Bing search engine is Steve Ballmer.

3. Yahoo! Search

-> Yahoo! Search Engine is the world’s third popular search engine.

-> Yahoo! Search was launched in 1995.

-> This is a very old search engine.

-> The original Yahoo! company was founded by Jerry Yang and David Filo in January 1994 and was incorporated on March 2, 1995.

4. Ask.com

-> Ask.com is a Question-Answer Website. Here users find answers to their questions.

-> Ask.com is a Search Engine almost 20 years old.

-> Its special point is that Ask.com searches answers to questions, And you can find your answers here by category.

-> Initially known as Ask Jeeves.

-> Founder of Ask.com is Garrett Gruener, Doug Leeds, and David Warthen.

5. DuckDuckGo

-> DuckDuckGo was launched in 2008.

-> DuckDuckGo does not track the activities of its users. Therefore the results of the DuckDuckGo Search Engine are the same for all users. It does not show Personalized Result.

-> It protects the privacy of the user.

-> Founder of DuckDuckGo search engine is Gabriel Weinberg.

6. Dogpile

-> Dogpile is a Meta Search Engine.

-> It shows its results by taking notice from other search engines such as Google, Yahoo !, Bing, etc. This search engine is old enough.

-> Dogpile was launched in 1996.

-> Founder of Dogpile Search engine is Aaron Flin.

7. AOL.com

-> It is a web portal and online service provider in New York City 

-> AOL is actually known as America Online,

-> Aol search engine helps in to discover the latest breaking news in the U.S. and around the world — politics, weather, entertainment, lifestyle, finance, sports.

-> AOL.com was introduced on 24 May 1985.

-> Founder of AOL.Com is Steve Case, Jim Kimsey, Marc Seriff and William von Meister.

8. Baidu

-> Baidu.com is the most popular search engine which is mostly used in China 

-> Baidu Search engine was founded on 18th January 2000.

-> Baidu is the largest AI (Artificial Intelligence) and internet company in the world 

-> Founder of Baidu Search engine is Robin Li and Eric Xu.

9. Yandex

-> Yandex.com is also the most popular search engine which is mostly used in Russia

-> Yandex Search engine was introduced in 1997 and Yandex Company was Founded in 2000.

-> It provides Intenet based services such as Yandex Map, Yandex Music, Yandex Money etc.

-> Founder of Yandex is Arkady Volozh.

10. Wolfram Alpha

-> It is also a good search engine on a computational knowledge search engine.

-> It is an online service that answers factual queries directly by computing the answer.

-> Wolfram Alpha search engine was introduced on May 18, 2009.

-> Founder of Wolfram Alfa search engine is Stephen Wolfram.
